Tinted moisturizer may work best on aging skin

AgeZone for firm neck skin.

If you're using heavy foundation and powder, you may find that it actually accentuates the signs of aging - namely, fine lines, wrinkles and loose neck skin. This is because the heavy amounts of pigment found in the makeup has a tendency to settle into creases.

As a result, it may be time to lighten up your skin care routine. No, don't go a shade below your natural tone, but instead choose a makeup that is less heavy than your normal foundation.

Today, a number of cosmetic companies offer tinted moisturizers, which can be used in lieu of foundation. These provide coverage of minor flaws in the complexion but are more sheer than traditional makeup.

If you find that you still see unwanted age spots or blemishes with a tinted moisturizer, try using a concealer before applying the product. This will hide certain spots without forming a mask over the whole face.

Areas of the skin - such as sagging jowls or dry foreheads - may still be in need of hydration, even with a tinted moisturizer. So, remember to continue using the best neck cream and apply lotion wherever it's needed for a smooth, healthy complexion.
